Izabella Yaylyan becomes Weightlifting Champion of Europe

LIMASSOL, Cyprus–Armenian weightlifters won their first medals at European Junior and Under 23 Weightlifting Championship in Limassol, Cyprus.

At U-20 girls’ fight Izabella Yaylyan performed very successfully. She became a Champion of Europe with the following results- 85 kg snatch and 106 kg clean and jerk and 396 kg combined.

At U-23 fight 56 kg Smbat Margaryan showed 252 (107+147) kg result and took the second place and was awarded silver medal.

At U-20 championship our Armenian delegates have modest results. 62 kg Raffi Galstyan and Gevorg Baghdasaryan took the 7th and the 10th places respectively. 69 kg Davit Hovhannisyan took the 6th place.
