ANCC attends unveiling ceremony at the Bioshpere

On Thursday July the 12th, ANC members Mher Karakashian and Arpi Balouzian participated in the unveiling of a plaque ceremony at the Bioshpere located at Parc Jean Drapeau in Saint Helen’s island in Montreal, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the donation of the United States pavilion to the City of Montreal, as a symbol of friendship that unites the two nations.

The event was hosted by the United States Consul General Robert W. Thomas.

Designed by noted American architect, author, and inventor Buckminster Fuller, the Biosphere was the United States pavilion during Expo 1967.

Today, the Biosphere is a museum in Montreal. Over the past 50 years, the mission of the Biosphere has expanded into being a more broadly themed environmental museum, with various exhibits and interactive features for visitors to explore different issues connected to ecosystems and sustainability.

The guest list included the British Consulate General Chloe Adams & Lebanese Consul General Antoine Eid among other dignitaries.
