Turkish parliament interrupts session for Armenian MP’s church visit –

Panarmenian – The Turkish parliament on March 6 interrupted the session on MP of Armenian descent Garo Paylan’s demand, Milliyet reports.

During the sitting, Paylan said the parliament usually announces a break for the Friday Salah (Islamic prayer), so he demanded that a break be declared for the Sunday church visit.

The parliament speaker approved the Armenian MP’s request and interrupted the session for 40 minutes.

Paylan used the break to visit the church nearby and came back to continue the work, Armenia Today says.
