Archbishop of Dublin commemorates 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide –
The Armenian community in Ireland blessed a cross in memory of those who died in the 1915 atrocities at Christ Church Cathedral this afternoon.
The service was attended by the Archbishop of Dublin Diarmuid Martin and Armenian Primate Bishop Hovakim Manukyan.
This year marks 100 years since the murder of over one million Armenians.
Doctor Paul Manook organised the event and said many other nationalities were killed too: “The Armenians was the biggest proportion of it nearly 85%, but also there was Syrian, Greek, they were also killed.
