AYF Canada Inter-Executive Meeting and Novice Seminar –

TORONTO – The Armenian Youth Federation of Canada Central Executive held its annual Inter-Executive Meeting and Novice Seminar November 7-8, 2015, which was hosted by the Toronto “Simon Zavarian” chapter in the Armenian Community Centre. The weekend attracted over 100 newly-recruited AYF members and chapter executives from Montreal, Laval, Cambridge, St. Catharines, Vancouver and Toronto.

 The weekend program included presentations by the chapters’ of their respective year-long agendas, and in-depth lectures on the AYF structure and history, ideology and by-laws, ARF history, leadership skills and civil society activism in Armenia. The weekend program also included interactive workshops and brainstorming sessions dedicated to exploring the many initiatives the AYF currently undertakes.

 The Toronto “Simon Zavarian” chapter organized a party Saturday night for participating members in the Armenian Community Centre, which featured a surprise visit from famous Armenian singer Nuné Yesayan, thanks to the generous arrangements made by the Homenetmen Central Executive.

 The weekend, that concluded its activities on Sunday afternoon, proved to be another in a series of successes for the AYF and its members.
