Serj Tankian demands investigation of Turkey’s role in Kessab attack –

System of a Down vocalist Serj Tankian has called upon the US Senate and House of Representatives to launch an official investigation into attacks on Kessab, the Armenian-populated Syrian town which has been under Islamist militants’ target in the recent days. 

“Dear Friends,

Please join me in asking our members of congress to demand that the Senate and House intelligence committees investigate Turkey’s role in the Al Qaeda linked attacks on the city of #Kessab in Syria, where more than 2000 Armenians were driven from their homes. These people were all survivors of the #ArmenianGenocide who had settled there after the First World War,” reads the singer’s post on Facebook.

Tankian has also added a link to a statement by Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA), calling for a probe into the events.
