(Horizon Media / MONTREAL) – Students and staff from Montreal’s Sourp Hagop Armenian School Choir participated in a special musical performance on Tuesday, May 5, at the Cedars Cancer Foundation as part of the foundation’s ongoing music therapy initiative for cancer patients.
Held at the McGill University Health Centre’s radio oncology unit, the program brings musicians to perform for patients and staff every Tuesday through the Cedars Healing Notes initiative, founded by Montreal musician Patil Harboyan. The initiative was featured in Global News coverage.
Following the concert, the Cedars Cancer Foundation thanked Patil Harboyan, founder of Cedars Healing Notes, as well as the staff and students of the Sourp Hagop Armenian School Choir for their performance, which also included a solo piano accompaniment. The foundation also expressed appreciation to choir teacher Tabar Harboyan-Kalloghian for organizing the event.
The concert formed part of the foundation’s broader efforts to provide comfort and emotional support to patients through music therapy.
