His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos Expresses Support to the Armenian Army –

During his official visit to Switzerland, Catholicos Aram I issued the following statement after being informed about the clashes on the Armenia-Azerbaijan border and the soldiers who had died in Artsakh:

“We learned with deep pain about the death of our soldiers. We express our deep condolences, our patriarchal love and convey our blessings to their families. Our soldiers are heroic martyrs because they shed blood for the Homeland, as well as for our rights and independence.

We express our total support to the brave soldiers of the Armenian Army. The Armenian army is the guarantee of our Homeland’s security and independence. To have a strong army means to have a strong Homeland. We are certain that the brave soldiers will be more efficient as they make all the efforts of the opponent trying to approach the land of Karabakh be doomed to failure.”
