(Horizon Weekly) — The horror film Sinners, produced by Armenian-American filmmaker Sev Ohanian, has won two major awards at the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, marking another milestone in the film’s historic awards-season run.
At a ceremony held in Los Angeles on February 1, 2026, Sinners received the Grammy for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media, awarded to composer Ludwig Göransson for his original score. The film also won Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media, recognizing the full collection of songs featured throughout the movie.
The soundtrack, which also included contributions from Boo Mitchell and Eric Gales, has been widely praised for its role in shaping the film’s emotional depth and narrative atmosphere. Industry observers have highlighted the music as a key element in the film’s critical and commercial success.
In addition to its wins, Sinners received three nominations in the category of Best Song Written for Visual Media, for “I Lied to You,” “Pale, Pale Moon,” and “Sinners,” though none took home the award.
The Grammy victories add to an already remarkable year for the film. Earlier this season, Sinners made history by earning 16 nominations at the Academy Awards, the highest number ever received by a horror film. Ohanian also became the first Armenian-American producer nominated for Best Picture, marking a significant moment for Armenian representation in international cinema.
The film was also among the most recognized titles at this year’s Golden Globe Awards, where it received seven nominations and won in the Cinematic and Box Office Achievement category.
With its continued success across major award platforms, Sinners has emerged as one of the most acclaimed films of the year. The Grammy wins further underscore the importance of its musical achievements and solidify its place in a historic awards season for Armenian-American filmmakers and artists.
