Armenia, US discuss defense cooperation

Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan on Friday hosted U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Kristina Kvien and the newly appointed Defense Attaché, Colonel Matthew Crowe.
Papikyan congratulated Crowe on his appointment and wished him success in his mission, the Armenian Defense Ministry reported.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of defense cooperation between Armenia and the U.S. Both sides assessed the existing level of cooperation as high. The U.S. side reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the ongoing defense reforms in Armenia.
The meeting also touched upon issues related to regional and international security.
