ARMENPRESS. Resident of Kaliningrad Hrachya Grigoryan, 26, has been granted a decoration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for his heroic act. As “Armenpress” reports, citing NovostiNK.ru, Grigoryan saved a 9-year-old boy from drowning in a car. The decoration was granted by Head of the Kaliningrad Regional Office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Lieutenant-General Evgeny Martynov.
The incident took place at a car salon located at Portovoy Street in Kaliningrad. The parents left the schoolchild alone in the car for a while. The boy pulled the lever of the transmission, after which the car started going back and fell into the river. Hrachya Grigoryan, who was there at the moment, broke the glass window in the back and removed the child from the sinking car. “It was like a movie. The car would have sunk in another 40 seconds. I had a tire at my disposal. I used it to crush the car window and yelled out to the boy ‘Give me your hand!’,” Grigoryan said.
