Turkish organizations urge foreign leaders to visit Yerevan, not Çanakkale –

ARMENPRESS – The representatives of five Turkish NGOs have called on the world leaders invited to Çanakkale to visit Yerevan on April 24 instead of visiting Turkey. As reports “Armenpress” citing Turkish Demokrathaber.net, the Committee against Discrimination and Racism of the Human Rights Organization, Assyrian Association of Izmir, Forum for Culture and Cooperation, “The New Bloom”, Cultural Forum, and “Zan” social studies foundation joined the call.
It has been announced that Erdoğan has invited the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan to Turkey along with other world leaders to celebrate the 100th anniversary of victory of Gallipoli (Çanakkale).
As reports “Armenpress” citing Haberler.com, Turkey is getting ready to host 102 world leaders on the events dedicated to Gallipoli victory. The invitations have already been sent. The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan invited Erdogan to visit Armenia on April 24 of the current year. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Edward Nalbandian conveyed Recep Tayyip Erdoğan the official invitation of the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan to attend the remembrance ceremony of the Armenian Genocide victims, which will be held on April 24, 2015 in Yerevan. The invitation was handed over to Erdogan on the day of his inauguration.
