ANCC Attends Swearing in Ceremony of British Columbia’s 37th Premier David Eby

On Friday November 18th, 2022 Armenian National Committee of Canada (ANCC) Western Region representative Jack Deragopian attended the swearing in ceremony of British Columbia’s 37th Premier, David Eby.

The ceremony was hosted by the Musqueam First Nation on its traditional unceded territory (Vancouver), and attended by political, social and business leaders, as well as the full BC provincial cabinet, outgoing premier John Horgan and past premiers Glen Clark and Mike Harcourt.

During the event, the ANCC representative congratulated Premier Eby, informing him of the recent letter by Premier Horgan to Prime Minister Trudeau regarding the safeguarding of Artsakh and Armenia against Azeri aggression, and the need to for the new Premier to support indigenous rights at home and abroad.

Premier Eby thanked ANCC for attending and pledged to continue working for fairness and justice.
