According to various sources, the wall is supposed to “prevent border violations and smuggling”.

The wall is planned to be 1200 meters long when completed. The Turkish-Syrian border is approximately 900 kilometers.

So far, 150 concrete blocks have been put in position since the work started days ago in Kuşaklı village. The concrete walls are portable, they can be moved and transported when needed.
