We are deeply saddened by the passing of a great Canadian and Quebecer, former Senator, the Hon. Raymond Setlakwe.
As a proud Canadian of Armenian heritage, Senator Setlakwe spared no effort to advance the issues concerning his beloved Armenian-Canadian community, proudly championing the Senate’s recognition of the Armenian Genocide in 2002.
As we honour his memory, we are confident that his legacy will serve as a positive example for generations to come. We join all Canadians in offering our deepest condolences to his family, friends and colleagues. May he Rest in Peace.
