Armenian school-age child wounded in Azerbaijani shooting

A school-age child was wounded in Azerbaijan’s shooting from across the border on Monday, March 30, Armenian Defense Ministry spokeswoman Shushan Stepanyan said, according to Aysor.am.

The incident happened in a border village in the province of Tavush, the child was immediately hospitalized and is currently undergoing surgery.

Voskevan village belongs to Noyemberyan region of Tavoush Province . It is located in the North-East of Armenia at 900-950 meters above sea level.

The village borders on Azerbaijan and is 1 km far from the border. The village is 650 years old. The population is 1521. There are 401 families in the village.
