Armenian organizations of France support Emmanuel Macron in French presidential election

ARMENPRESS – The Coordination Council of Armenian organizations of France is going to support En Marche! movement leader Emmanuel Macron in the second round of the French presidential election to be held on May 7.

The letter of the Council Co-Chairmen Murad Papazian and Ara Toranyan addressed to Macron reads:

“We welcome your visit to the Armenian Genocide Memorial in Paris on April 24 and want to thank that you paid a tribute to the memory of 1.5 million victims of the Genocide. Your step is fully in line with your engagement, especially, in the initiative to include April 24 in the Republic’s calendar. This is an evidence of your devotion to the justice demand for the victims, victims who suffered ‘one of the most brutal massacres of the 20th century’ as the US President said a day before. This issue of dignity and human rights, over which a great ght is being carried out, needs support, mainly the support of courageous state gures who are dedicated to progress and values.

Your engagement in this issue, your visit on April 24, our meeting with you, your stance on the Armenian Cause, as well as your overall leading political principles aimed at restoring France’s positions convince us that your are such a gure. We as well are convinced that it is the unity that will enable us to overcome crises.

That’s why through this letter we want to express our support for you in the upcoming presidential election”.
