Armenian de-miners clear over 10 thousand sq km territory in Syria
(Armradio) – Armenian sappers have cleared an area of over 10 thousand sq km in Syria, the Armenian Center for Humanitarian Demining and Expertise informs.
According to the source, the Armenian specialists come across anti-tank and anti-personnel mines, many of them improvised.
The de-mining activities are being carried out in compliance with international standards.
In February 2019 Armenia deployed an 83-member independent humanitarian mission of doctors and de-miners to support and sustain at-risk survivors in Syria.
