A ceremony in memory of Hiroshima and Nagasaki victims in Yerevan

(Armradio) – The Head of Culture Department of Yerevan Municipality Ruben Hovhannisyan and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan in Armenia Eiji Taguchi were present at the ceremony near the memorial stone of Peace Vow in Yerevan in memory of Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombing victims.

According to the Press Service of the Municipality of Yerevan, the Head of the Culture Department said that the Municipality strongly condemns the bombing of the Japanese cities 72 years ago which caused death of thousands of people.

As a peculiar call for peace in the World, paper cranes were laid on the memorial stone. Copies of books of peace haikus were presented to Taguchi and Hovhannisyan.

The memorial stone of Peace Vow was brought from Hiroshima in 2014.
