Libyan tribe demands to prosecute Turkey for the massacres committed against its people, similar to that of the Armenians –

A Lybian tribe has called on the Libyan Speaker of the House of Representatives ‘Aquilah Saleh to file a lawsuit against Turkey at the international courts, on charges of genocide committed by the Turks against the notables and elders of the tribe 199 years ago. During a meeting with Saleh, mayors, sheikhs and dignitaries from the Al-Jawazi Tribe recalled the massacres that the Turks committed at the beginning of the 19th century and which resulted in the death of thousands of the Tribe’s elders, dignitaries and tribesmen.

The Tribe urged the Senate and the Senate Speaker to file a lawsuit against Turkey at the international courts [of human rights], similar to the Armenian case, for the crimes that Turkey committed against the Al-Jawazi tribe and the Lybian people during Turkey’s occupation and colonization of Lybia in that era.
