Հարցազրոյց ճարտարապետ եւ կերպարուեստագէտ Վազգէն Բրուտեանի հետ

Ամերիկահայ Վազգէն Բրուտեանը հայրենադարձ եղած է 2013 թուականին: Ճարտարապետ եւ նկարիչ արուեստագէտ Բրուտեան հայրենիքին մէջ մուտք գործեց նաեւ ձեւայղացքի դաշտ՝ ստեղծելով «Արդեան» ընկերութիւնը՝ ծանօթացնելով բազմադարեայ հայկական մշակոյթը՝ 21րդ դարու միջազգային շուկային: Հարցազրոյցը վարեց Տանիա Օհանեան։ Տեսանիւթի բեմադրիչ՝ Յակոբ Փափազեան։

Vasken Brudian, The founder of Ardēan in Yerevan, Armenia

The designs are inspired by Armenian architecture, cross-stones (khatchkars) ornaments, illuminated manuscripts and other artifacts from rich Armenian cultural heritage. These are the defining elements guiding Brudian’s search and creativity for new and modern products. Ardēan is located on Abovyan street, and all of the products and artwork are also available to purchase on-line at www.ardean.am Brudian’s work is unequivocally inspired by St. Gregory of Narek (Narekatsi), a tenth-century Armenian monk, poet, mystical philosopher, and a theologian. All of his designs, from shawls to scarves, earrings and necklaces, ceramics and home accessories, are incorporated with prayers from “The Book of Lamentations” by Narekatsi. Brudian’s idea of Ardēan is at the core of yet another conviction – to develop a vibrant design industry in Armenia.
