Kurdish protesters occupy European Parliament –

About 100 Kurdish protesters have broken through security to stage a protest inside the European Parliament in Brussels.

It follows a previous demonstration late on Monday, when 60-70 Kurdish protesters occupied part of the Dutch parliament in the Hague.

Kurdish protesters took to the streets in several European cities on Monday including Rome, London, Vienna, Cologne, Stockholm and Brussels.

They are demanding international action to defend the Syrian town of Kobane against Islamic State fighters.
