Syria’s new cabinet has Armenian minister –

Syria’s new cabinet, approved by President Bashar al-Assad on Wednesday, is said to have an Armenian member.

According to the Gandzasar weekly, Nazira Sargis has been appointed as a minister of nature protection.

Under the decree signed by President Assad, 11 cabinet members have been replaced. The prime minister and the ministers of defense, interior and justice remain in office.

Besides a new ministry, tasked with dealing with regional development, has been set up.
