HayaKve bill being discussed at Armenia parliament committee

The Standing Committee on State and Legal Affairs of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia is debating—in its Monday meeting—on the draft law submitted by the HayaKve civil initiative.

The initiative has called on all those who joined it, by participating in its signature campaign in support of this bill, to assemble outside the NA building at the same hour.

The HayaKve initiative has proposed a draft of amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code of Armenia, in accordance to which refusing international recognition of the Armenian Genocide or belittling its danger, as well as recognizing—on behalf of Armenia—Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) as part of another country, shall be considered criminally punishable acts.
