ANCC Convenes Its Annual Plenary Session in Kingston
OTTAWA.- On November 17, 2019, the Armenian National Committee of Canada convened its annual plenary session, in Kingston, Ontario.
After discussing the committee’s work during the previous term, the meeting tabled and approved the current year’s agenda and plans. The meeting held qualitative discussions, regarding ANCC’s policy priorities, highlighting the hard-won achievements, the ongoing challenges and difficulties, and the work to be done to overcome each of them.
The session discussed and evaluated the results of the recent parliamentary election in Canada, where 84% of the candidates endorsed by the committee secured victory. The meeting also discussed upcoming initiatives regarding Canada-Armenia relations, the peaceful settlement of the Artsakh issue, support for Javakhk, Genocide education, remembrance and plans to further expand and engage ANCC’s grassroots network, coast-to-coast.
At the end of the meeting, the committee reaffirmed its resolute approach to the above issues and its unwavering readiness to lead them to success
