Armenia’s Simon Martirosyan wins bronze at World Championships

Lifter Simon Martirosyan on Thursday, December 16 won bronze at the World Weightlifting Championships, currently underway in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Competing in the 109 kg weight category, Martirosyan raised a combined 237 kg above his head to snatch the medal.

Samvel Gasparyan (102 kg), also representing Armenia, won a small bronze medal on Wednesday.
