Armenian soldier killed in Azerbaijani shooting

Serviceman of the Armenian Armed Forces Gerasim Avetik Arakelyan was killed as Azerbaijani armed forces opened fire at Armenian combat position in Bardzruni, Vayots Dzor Province at approximately 2:35 p.m. today, the Ministry of Defense informs.

An investigation into the circumstances of the incident is under way.

The Ministry of Defense extends its condolences to the family, relatives, and fellow servicemembers of the deceased soldier.
