Yerevan to host Horasis think tank meeting on China in 2020
Horasis, an international think tank founded in 2005, announces that its upcoming international China Meeting will be held in Yerevan, Armenia, under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Armenia, The Sociable reports.
Held for the first time in the country, the meeting will welcome several hundred leaders from across Asia and the broader international community.
Among the topics to be discussed at the conference will be:
- How will China’s next phase of economic transformation impact the globe? How can other nations cooperate with larger countries in shaping the course of global business in the decades to come?
- What trajectory will growth of Armenia’s knowledge-based economy take? The nation’s strategic plan for continued growth, including its development of major transport axes, is of paramount importance to the region. How will the strategically located and resource-rich nation align its goals with the regional and international community?
- Should we reconsider the role of the WTO in managing trade disputes? As the repercussions of the US – China trade war continue to be felt globally, should nations seek to unilaterally manage tariff and non-tariff trade barriers?
“Gathering key leaders and entrepreneurs at this especially pivotal moment in global politics and trade, we are both thrilled and determined to form actionable plans for sustainable growth and a more morally decent form of globalization,” said Dr. Frank-Jürgen Richter, Founder and Chairman of Horasis.
Additional topics at the conference include IoT, AI, pathways for Innovator Education, and nurturing the growth of blockchain.
