World indifferent to cultural genocide in Artsakh – Jean-Christophe Buisson
A real cultural genocide is being committed in Artsakh on a daily basis, with the world indifferent. Deputy editor-in-chief of the French magazine “Le Figaro” Jean-Christophe Buisson wrote about this in his Twitter microblog (X).
“Every passing day brings its share of satellite photographs testifying to the methodical destruction by Azerbaijan of all Armenian traces in Artsakh/Nagorno-Karabakh: houses, official buildings, churches, cemeteries. A real cultural genocide, with the world indifferent,” he wrote.
On August 14, Artsakh Ombudsman Gegham Stepanyan published satellite photographs as further evidence of the destruction of Armenian heritage in occupied Artsakh by Azerbaijanis. The human rights activist posted photos showing that most of the houses in the village of Mokhrenes in the Gadrud district, a school, a kindergarten and other buildings were destroyed. He also recalled that the Church of St. Sarkis was wiped off the face of the earth by the Azerbaijanis by October 2022.
