Turkey develops advanced Bora-2 long-range missile

Defencenews – Turkish Defence Minister Nurettin Canikli said Turkey had started working on a more technologically advanced and longer-range version of its domestically produced ballistic missile system, Akşam newspaper reported on Thursday.

Canikli said the Bora-2 ballistic missile would be an improvement on the Bora-1, Turkey’s first tactical ballistic missile, which has a maximum range of 280 km.

Canikli said both types of missiles would be produced domestically, apart from geographical positioning systems equipment, but next year Turkey would start producing that too.
