(Tert) – Unknown individuals in Valentín Alsina, Buenos Aires, have broken into the Armenian church of St Jacob twice in a fortnight to steal valuable property.
The vandals robbed the church of precious items, including candlesticks, bronze tableaus, two organs, vases, gold and silver cups, pictures, curtains, pieces of furniture and symbolic crosses, El Diario Sur reports.
The clergymen at the church said they were deeply concerned by the theft of highly valuable cultural and religious heritage, calling upon the law enforcement authorities to fully resolve the crime.
