Paris Olympic Games 2024: Malkhas Amoyan is in the semi-finals

World champion and three-time European champion Malkhas Amoyan of Armenia won his second match in Men’s Greco-Roman Wrestling at the 33rd Summer Olympic Games being held in Paris.

Amoyan defeated Asian Games silver medalist and Asian champion Amin Kaviyaninejad (Iran) 3-0 in the quarterfinals of the 77kg category, and advanced to the semifinals.

In his opening bout, Amoyan had recorded an impressive 8-0 win against 2021 European youth champion, 2022 U20 European silver medalist, and 2023 U23 European champion Jonni Kunnari Sarkkinen (Finland).
