Paris-2024. Artur Aleksanyan, vice-champion of the Olympic Games

Artur Aleksanyan, a member of Armenia’s Greco-Roman wrestling team (97 kg), became the Olympic silver medalist. His opponent was Mohammad Hadi Saravi from Iran, a bronze medalist at the Olympic Games, world and Asian champion, and winner of the Asian Games.

Artur Aleksanyan won his second Olympic silver medal. He took the third place and earned a bronze medal at the 2012 London Olympics. In Rio de Janeiro, he defeated all competitors and became the Olympic champion, and in the Tokyo Olympic Games, he reached the final and lost to the representative of Russia, Musa Yevloev, winning the silver medal. Aleksanyan is also a four-time world and seven-time European champion, winner of the European Games.
