Opposition MP Artsvik Minasyan urges Pashinyan to resign

At a parliamentary session reviewing the implementation of Armenia’s 2021–2026 government program for 2024, MP Artsvik Minasyan of the opposition Hayastan bloc strongly criticized Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, accusing his administration of pushing the country toward a “new phase of genocide” under the guise of building a “real Armenia.”
Minasyan claimed that the current government continues to bring losses and despair, offering “false promises of a bright future” while systematically silencing dissent through persecution. “The so-called ‘real Armenia’ is one that no longer exists,” he said.
In response to Deputy Speaker Ruben Rubinyan’s remark about corruption under previous administrations, Minasyan acknowledged past wrongdoings but insisted that corruption persists under the current government as well.
“Mr. Pashinyan, I’ve known you for years. You often act first and think later. Just once, I ask you – take the parliament floor and announce your resignation. Give the people the chance to choose leaders who can truly lead Armenia out of this crisis,” he added.
