More than 13,000 Turkish citizens and 7 from Azerbaijan visited Armenia in 2025

(Horizon Weekly / YEREVAN) – A total of 13,441 citizens of Turkey and seven citizens of Azerbaijan visited Armenia in 2025, according to data published by the Statistical Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

Overall, 2,263,642 tourists travelled to Armenia between January and December 2025, slightly higher than the 2,208,179 visitors recorded during the same period in 2024, reflecting a modest year-over-year increase in international arrivals.

According to the official figures, visitors from regional countries continued to account for a large share of tourism. Russia remained the leading source of tourists with 921,704 visitors, followed by Georgia with 288,578 arrivals and Iran with 182,364 visitors.

Among Western countries, 60,891 tourists arrived from the United States, while 34,136 visitors came from Germany, 22,669 from Italy, 16,735 from Belarus, and 10,785 from Belgium.

Earlier reports had indicated that roughly 14,000 individuals entered Armenia from Turkey through Armenian border checkpoints during 2025, a figure largely consistent with the latest official statistics.
