Mkhitaryan facing possible Inter Milan departure

(Horizon Weekly) – Henrikh Mkhitaryan may be approaching the end of his time with Inter Milan, as reports in the Italian press suggest the club is preparing for significant changes at the conclusion of the current season.
According to FCInterNews, the Milan-based side intends to refresh its squad by reducing the number of veteran players and investing in younger talent. Among those potentially departing is the 37-year-old Armenian midfielder, whose contract with Inter expires at the end of this season.
The reported restructuring could also see the exits of experienced defenders Stefan de Vrij, Francesco Acerbi and Matteo Darmian, along with goalkeeper Yann Sommer. At the same time, uncertainty surrounds the futures of several other key figures, including Nicolo Barella, Davide Frattesi, Hakan Çalhanoğlu, Marcus Thuram and Denzel Dumfries, as the club weighs its long-term plans.
Mkhitaryan joined Inter in 2022 and quickly became an integral part of the squad. During his tenure, he has helped the Nerazzurri capture the Serie A title, the Coppa Italia and the Italian Super Cup. He has also featured in two UEFA Champions League finals, underscoring his continued impact at the highest level of European football.
The Armenian international, who remains the all-time leading scorer of Armenia’s national team, has made 24 appearances this season, registering two goals and two assists.
While no official decision has yet been announced, the coming months are expected to clarify whether Mkhitaryan will extend his stay in Milan or seek a new chapter elsewhere.
