Malkhas Amoyan becomes two-time world champion in Greco-Roman wrestling

Armenian Greco-Roman wrestler Malkhas Amoyan, Olympic bronze medalist and four-time European champion has won the World Championship for the second time.

At the Greco-Roman Wrestling World Championships in Zagreb, Croatia, Amoyan (77 kg weight category) defeated the Olympic champion representing Japan, Nao Kusaka, with a score of 10:1.

Malkhas Amoyan is a bronze medalist at Paris-2024. He became European champion in 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and won his first gold at the World Championship in 2021.
