Ladaniva to Represent Armenia at Eurovision 2024

Armenia has finally revealed that the dynamic duo Ladaniva will be the face of the country at Eurovision 2024 in Malmö, Sweden this May. This announcement comes as one of the last entries in this year’s lineup.

Armenian broadcaster AMPTV decided to keep fans on their toes, holding back on the big reveal until now. But the secret is out, and Ladaniva joins the prestigious list of performers gearing up for Eurovision, with their eyes set on bringing home the coveted trophy.
In a twist of suspense, AMPTV disclosed that Ladaniva was internally selected for Eurovision 2024. While the details of their song are still under wraps, fans can expect a delightful surprise when it’s eventually released.
Ladaniva, comprised of Armenian vocalist Jaklin Baghdasaryan and French multi-instrumentalist Louis Thomas, is set to continue the legacy of previous Armenian successes like Brunette and Rosa Linn. The talented duo will showcase their skills in the second semi-final on May 9, hoping to secure a spot in the Grand Final on May 11.
What makes Ladaniva stand out is their unique blend of Armenian folk with a global musical palette, incorporating elements of jazz, reggae, Latin music, African beats, and more. The name itself, inspired by an off-road retro car brand, mirrors the band’s adventurous spirit and their journey through diverse cultures.
Armenia’s Eurovision track record since its debut in 2006 has been very impressive, with participation in 15 out of 17 contests. They’ve got seven top-10 finishes. Armenia has consistently delivered memorable performances. Notably, they secured 4th place in 2008 and 2014, showcasing their musical skills on the Eurovision stage.
