Horizon Weekly attends National Ethnic Press and Media Council Christmas gala

TORONTO – On Friday, December 12, 2025, Horizon Weekly representatives Jacques Varbedian and Ishkhan Ghazarian attended the annual National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada Christmas gala. The event brought together ethnic media leaders, council members, and elected representatives from all levels of government, offering an opportunity for meaningful dialogue and engagement.

During the evening, Horizon Weekly’s representatives met with the Council’s leadership, fellow member organizations, and elected officials at all levels of government.

Established in 1958, the National Ethnic Press and Media Council of Canada has been instrumental in giving diverse communities across the country a voice in the media landscape. Bringing together more than 850 ethnic media outlets, the Council reflects the lived experiences of Canada’s multicultural society and promotes dialogue, civic participation, and greater understanding among communities.

Horizon Weekly is a proud member of the Council and continues to value its participation in this important national network dedicated to inclusive and representative media.
