His Eminence Archbishop Papken Tcharian meets with Mayor Marc Demers at the City of Laval

Archbishop Papken congratulated Mr. Demers on his election as the Mayor of Laval.

On behalf of the Armenian Community, Prelate Tcharian thanked the Mayor for the May 26th event where for the first time the Armenian flag was raised at the City of Laval on the occasion of the centennial of the Independence of Armenia.

The delegation included Very Rev. Father Vartan Tashjian, pastor of St. Kevork Armenian Apostolic Church of Laval, Mrs. Zovig Terzian, chairperson of the Prelacy Executive Council, Mrs. Hermine Manoukian, chairperson of the St. Kevork Armenian Apostolic Church Board of Trustees, Mr. Hampig Karayan, member of Prelacy Executive Council, and Mr. Hovig Tufenkjian, member of the Armenian National Committee of Laval.
