EU mission in Armenia completes 7,000 patrols

The European Union Mission in Armenia conducted its 7,000th patrol on November 23, the mission’s office announced via its official Facebook page.

“The mission remains committed to its mandate on the Armenian side of the Armenia-Azerbaijan border,” the statement reads.

EU observers first arrived in Armenia on February 20, 2023. In January 2025, it was decided that the mission would continue its deployment in Armenia’s border regions for an additional two years, until February 19, 2027.

Azerbaijan has repeatedly accused the EU mission in Armenia of engaging in “espionage activities” and “telescope diplomacy.”
