Canadian-Armenian woman in critical condition after drive-through rampage in Times Square

CanadianArmenian Elena Avetisyan, who is one of the victims of the May 18 New York attack, when a man drove his car into pedestrians in the city’s Times Square, is still in coma, New York Daily News reports.

The 38 year old CanadianArmenian, a mother of three, arrived in New York to attend her cousin’s wedding.

Relatives of Elena Avetisian, 38, said she was in critical condition after being one of nearly two dozen victims injured when Richard Rojas slammed his car through crowds of pedestrians walking in Times Square Thursday.

Relatives have started a GoFundMe page to help defray the costs of Elena’s recovery.

Another tourist, Alyssa Elsman, 18, of Michigan, was struck and killed on a Seventh Ave. sidewalk when Rojas’ Honda barreled through the busy plaza.
