AYF members visit Parliament Hill for civic education trip

(Horizon Media / OTTAWA) – A delegation representing members of the Armenian Youth Federation Montreal-Laval “Levon Shant-Pegor Ashod” Chapter visited Ottawa on Monday, June 15, for an educational trip focused on Canada’s parliamentary system.

The group was hosted by MP Fayçal El-Khoury of Laval—Les Îles, who met with the delegation to discuss issues of interest and provide insight into Parliament’s work.

During the visit, participants toured the Parliament of Canada, including the House of Commons and committee rooms. They also attended a parliamentary debate, where they learned more about legislative procedures, parliamentary deliberations, and key issues currently on the national agenda.

The visit offered AYF members an opportunity to deepen their understanding of Canada’s democratic institutions and the role of elected officials in shaping public policy.
