Karina Akopova and Nikita Rakhmanin delivered a composed and high-level performance on the world stage, securing a historic result for Armenian winter sports, according to the Armenian Figure Skating Federation.
Their placement carries important competitive benefits. By finishing among the top ten, the pair has earned Armenia an additional spot in the pairs category at the next World Championships, expanding the country’s presence at the event.
The result also secures two entries for Armenia in the senior Grand Prix series, the International Skating Union’s elite circuit reserved for the sport’s leading athletes, further strengthening Armenia’s position in international figure skating.
