(Horizon Media) – Armenia’s national football team has dropped one place to 106th in the latest rankings published by FIFA.
The decline follows a recent friendly defeat in Yerevan, where the team, under head coach Yeghishe Melikyan, lost 2–1 to Belarus on March 29. The result saw Belarus climb one position to 97th.
At the top of the rankings, France has moved into first place, ahead of Spain in second and Argentina in third. The top ten is rounded out by England, Portugal, Brazil, Netherlands, Morocco, Belgium and Germany.
Among Armenia’s upcoming and recent opponents, Montenegro is ranked 81st, Cyprus 126th, and Latvia 137th. Looking ahead to June friendlies in Yerevan, Kazakhstan sits at 110th, while Moldova is ranked 159th.
The latest update reflects a modest setback for Armenia as it continues preparations for upcoming international fixtures.
