Arman Tsarukyan dominates freestyle bout at Real American Freestyle 5

(Horizon Weekly) – Armenian MMA fighter Arman Tsarukyan added another victory to his résumé, this time outside the UFC octagon, by competing in a freestyle wrestling match at the Real American Freestyle 5 tournament.

Tsarukyan secured a dominant 10:0 decision over American wrestler Lance Palmer, a former Professional Fighters League competitor, according to Sputnik Armenia. The bout was held in Sunrise, Florida.

The 29-year-old athlete had been slated to face Russian fighter Islam Makhachev for the UFC lightweight title in January 2024, but withdrew from the championship bout due to injury.

Tsarukyan currently owns a professional MMA record of 23 wins and three losses and is ranked 14th in the UFC’s pound-for-pound standings.
