The Armenian Genocide did occur, Belgian Prime Minister Charles Michel told La Libre newspaper of Belgium.

Commenting on his position on the Genocide, Michel said: “Our position has always been clear: the Armenian Genocide has occurred, and there can be no two opinions on this matter,” News.am reports.

The Senate of Belgium has recognized the Armenian Genocide back in 1998.
