ARMENPRESS – Members of the Armenian Brigade M/C biker group of Los Angeles will reach the White House in Washington D.C., joining the campaign devoted to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide that has been launched in Los Angeles. This is what members of the Armenian Brigade M/C (registered in the U.S.) said during a May 2 press conference in Armenia. “We started holding the events dedicated to the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide on 1 January, and we became a state registered non-commercial organization on 12 January.
This year, some of our members commemorated the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide in Armenia, and the other members left for Washington D.C. to hold a demonstration near the White House,” member of the Armenian Brigade M/C Harutyun Bogaryan said. He added that the participants of the action will be traveling across 16 states and will be holding events aimed at raising public awareness about the Armenian Genocide.
The Armenian American bikers had planned to attend the commemorative event at Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial on April 24 th, but, according to Harutyun Bogaryan, there were some problems with transferring the motorcycles.
