Armenia To Establish National Defense Research University –

ARKA – Armenian defense minister Seyran Ohanyan had a meeting today with James Kegel, a specialist in national security strategy at the US National Defense University, to discuss preparatory work for the establishment of the Armenian National Defense Research University later this year, the press service of the Armenian Defense Ministry said following the meeting.
The Armenian National Defense Research University will be created on the basis of the Institute for National Strategic Studies (INSS) of the Ministry of Defense.
During the meeting, which was attended by the chief of INSS Hayk Kotanjyan and deputy head of  INSSe Benyamin Poghosyan, the sides discussed a string of issues related to the upcoming preparatory work.
Ohanyan was said to have expressed his satisfaction with the steps in this direction. INSS   was established in 2007.
