Armradio – The high-quality products made in Artsakh are conquering the international markets. The recent achievements of the Stepanakert Cognac Factory only come to prove this.
The “Madatov” brandy made in Nagorno Karabakh won the “Best brand” award at the CUBAEXPO 2014 exhibition held in Havana earlier this month, the factory’s press service said.
The Berdashen Khndoghni wine was awarded a silver medal at the 18th International Competition of Wines and Alcoholic Drinks held in Russia, while the 10 and 15 year-old “Madatov” brandy received a gold medal.
More than 4,500 companies from 60 countries participated in CUBAEXPO 2014. The exhibition in Russia featured representatives of counties with rich wine-making traditions, such as France, Italy, Georgia, Spain, Bulgaria, Morocco, Moldova, Austria, Russia and others.
“These are important steps that contribute to the popularization of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic in the world, despite Azerbaijan’s efforts,” Director of the Yerevan branch of the Stepanakert Cognac Factory Ashot Martirosyan said.
“In the modern world the image of a country is determined by its economic competitiveness and the availability of national brands on international markets,” he added.
